Round table "Problems remediation of land contaminated oily wastes"

March 21, 2013 in the Council of the Federation, a round table discussion on improvement of the methodological, technical, and information security problems remediation of land contaminated oily waste.

Among the speakers were representatives of the Federation Council Committee on agriculture, food policy and environment, the Federation Council Committee on rules and organization of parliamentary activity, the State Duma Committee on natural resources, environment and ecology, environmental safety management and environmental management of the leading Russian oil companies, executives and RPN research institutes, representatives of business and science.

The round table was attended by deputy director of Sergey Rodin, head of the forest ecology Leonid Kozhenkov and vice head of the department of forest ecology Andrey Zhidkov.

The roundtable participants noted the need to develop special tools for assessment of damage in all phases of oil and natural gas fields and natural complexes, as well as the development of technologies eliminate hydrocarbon contamination using phytoremediation.
