Deputy Director for research, PhD of agricultural sciences, academician of the RAAS Sergey Anatoljevich Rodin generally manages research activities and supervises investigations in silviculture, forest regeneration, forest management, forest ecology, forest protection and conservation, forestry economics and standartization. Deputy Director for research, PhD of agricultural sciences Andrey Nikolaevich Filipchuk manages research in new information technologies applications in forestry, remote sensing, forest resources information treatment and analysis, as well as scientific-methodological and information-analytical provisions of Rosleshoz research and economic international cooperation in forest relations. PhD of technical sciences Boris Michailovich Bolshakov is Deputy Director for research and innovations.

Deputy Director-at-large Nicolay Andreevich Bondar manages business activities of the Institute. Valery Sergeevich Vorobjev is Deputy Director for mechanization, standartization, forest machinery and equipment testing and certification. Deputy Director for economics and planning Tatjana Grigorjevna Slobodchikova manages planning and financial activities of the Institute. Research Secretary, candidate of agricultural sciences, Svetlana Urjevna Tsaregradskaya is in charge of research and development planning, Institute performance reports, management of the Research Council and the specialized Dissertation Coucil and post graduate center.
