Saint-Petersburg International Congress «ATMOSPHERE 2012»

April 17-20, 2012 in St. Petersburg held a congress on the 20th anniversary of the Research Institute for Atmospheric Air Protection, as well as improving the regulatory and methodical, technical and information support for air protection activities.

Among the speakers were representatives of the Department of public policy and regulation of the negative impact of regulation and environmental monitoring of the Ministry of natural resources, Department of environmental control federal service for supervision of natural resources of the Russian Federation, Research Institute for Atmospheric Air Protection, Research Institute Human Ecology and Environmental Health, Research Centre for Ecological Security of the Russian Federation, Main Geophysical Observatory, Russian Research Institute for Silviculture and Mechanization of Forestry and other organizations.

In Saint-Petersburg International Congress «ATMOSPHERE 2012» was attended by representatives of the Department of Forest Ecology of the Russian Research Institute for Silviculture and Mechanization of Forestry - Leonid Kozhenkov and Andrey Zhidkov.

They spoke on "The study of snow cover as an indicator of the degree of air pollution industrial center of Moscow" and "Testing guidelines for the development of environmental air quality standards to preserve the forest ecosystem."
