The Russian-German seminar on "Improving the tools for assessing environmental impacts of interventions in the environment and compensate for its violations"

January 27, 2012 in the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation (Moscow) hosted a Russian-German seminar on "Improving the tools for assessing environmental impacts of interventions in the environment and compensate for its violations".

The speakers included Deputy Director of State Policy and Regulation in the field of environmental protection and ecological safety – Victoria Venchikova, deputy head of state regulation in the field of waste management of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation – Olga Burkanova, Prof. Technical University of Berlin – Adrian Hoppenstedt, Prof. Technical University of Berlin – Wolfgang Wende, a representative of the Institute of Geography Russian Academy of Sciences – Valeriy Kravchenko and others.

The seminar a resolution was adopted with the desire to strengthen the Russian-German scientific cooperation financed by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation. As a result of collaboration between scientists in Germany and the Russian Federation in late 2012 will publish a Russian-German compendium "Bewertung von Umweltauswirkungen und ökologische Expertise" ["Assessment of Environmental Impact and Environmental Assessment"].

In the Russian-German seminar took an active part representative of the Russian Research Institute for Silviculture and Mechanization of Forestry – Andrey Zhidkov.
