Roundtable Discussion at the Public Chamber of Russian Federation

December 16, 2011 the Public Chamber of Russian Federation (Moscow) held a round table "Problems of legal regulation of the accumulated environmental damage".

At the round table were experts-ecologists of the Public Chamber of Russian Federation E. Topoleva-Sodunova and O. Rasbash, representative of the department of public policy and regulation in the field of environmental protection and ecological safety of the Ministry of natural resources and environmental protection O. Burkanova, director of the environmental agency "INEKO" E. Perfilyev, a representative of the international environmental organization "Bellona" A. Ozharovsky, director of the department of ecology and safety UC RUSAL I. Rebrik, representatives of Chambers of a number of areas (Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Kemerovo), the country's leading scientists, journalists, environmentalists.

The round table was adopted by resolution of the Public Chamber of Russian Federation, which includes proposals to improve environmental legislation, addressed to the Government of Russian Federation.

The roundtable was attended by Russian Research Institute for Silviculture and Mechanization of Forestry Andrey Zhidkov, team leader, PhD, who spoke on "Aspects of rehabilitation and revegetation of disturbed forest soils technologically."
